This project consisted of a 750 sf second floor master bedroom suite addition and covered porch to an existing 1,500 sf 1960’s tract home. We increased the roof pitch, vaulted the living room ceiling and added a shed dormer to the front of the house. By setting the second floor back and keeping some first floor roof in front of the second floor addition, we were able to decrease the apparent size of the addition. We also added a lot of craftsman detailing and materials to transform the character of the original generic 1960’s design.
